The Environmental Goals and Sustainable Prosperity Act (EGSPA) was proclaimed in June of 2007.  The act sets out 21 provincial goals such as reduced air emissions, new energy standards for buildings and increased protection of land and water.  The Act forms the "2020 Vision", which states that Nova Scotia will be one of the cleanest and most sustainable envrionments in the world by 2020.  To read the full act, please visit http://www.gov.ns.ca/legislature/legc/bills/60th_1st/3rd_read/b146.htm.
