Kevin Pelley, MBA, P. Eng is President of Kohltech International Limited
Since its inception in 1978, Kohltech has grown from four employees to several hundred and manufactures high-quality vinyl and wood-vinyl windows as well as steel and fibreglass entrance systems under the Peter Kohler Windows brand in Eastern Canada, the Kohltech Windows brand in the USA, Quebec and Ontario and the Equibilt by Kohltech Windows & Entrance Systems brand in Western Canada.
Peter Kohler products are manufactured to the highest ISO 9001 standards and continue to be a benchmark for quality, performance and value. The company’s head office is located in Debert, NS, with manufacturing facilities in Debert, NS and Edmonton, AB.
Kohltech launched their green initiatives in 2006 with limited success. In 2008 they formed a Green Team of passionate employees and company executives to spearhead the effort. The Green Team developed a simple plan and measurement system to create a green culture at Kohltech with immediate focus aimed towards recycling and waste reduction goals. As a result of the green team efforts, Kohltech has a seen a reduction in waste of 60% in the past year and a half with the goal of 75% by 2010 leading to a significant return on their investment. Kevin will share the major points of their plan and the keys for implementing a successful Green Team.
Kevin has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Dalhousie University and an MBA from Saint Mary’s University. Kevin also has extensive experience in business in a variety of functions including, Technical Sales, Marketing, Sales Management, Operations, Distribution and Human Resource Management.
Kevin currently serves as the President of the Canadian Window and Door Manufacturers Association (CWDMA) and sits on the Board of Directors of the Atlantic Building Supply Association (ABSDA) and the Board of Directors of the Children’s Clean Air Network.
Kevin resides in Fall River, NS with his wife Bea and sons Jerrod and James where he spends his spare time coaching minor sports.
