As a brand, the Power of Green represents the powerful force of sustainability, and the positive change that can result from adopting sustainable practices. In developing the brand image for the Power of Green, we wanted to convey the essence of sustainability and remain consistent with the ‘Nova Scotia: Come to Life’ brand, while still carving out our own unique identity. To achieve this, we developed a logo to represent sustainability that is a stand-alone symbol, as well as part of the word mark.

This logo depicts a symbolic green “G,” created using a circular arrow. This arrow represents forward motion and the cyclical nature of sustainability – it’s all about making the right choices today, which will come full circle to benefit us collectively tomorrow. The use of the colour green creates an association with environmental and eco-friendly practices, reminding people that the Power of Green initiatives are promoting a safer and cleaner planet.
